Each year, we designate a day for new beekeepers to get a feel for beekeeping. This is an up close, personal workshop that is limited to 25 people. We spend about 2 1/2 - 3 hours in an education session reviewing what you'll see in the hives. Next, we move to the barn for a three station round robin. We split up into three groups and become enthralled with the aspects of beekeeping. One station will explain different types of equipment, another station will explain and show you how to assemble different types of equipment and the third station will get up suited up and off you go to the bee hives. You will get you hands on experience getting into a hive. As you will be working in the beeyard, there is a possibility that you may get stung. We require you to register and will send you specifics after you register. As always, the cost is free.
